Holland
Road School's Fine Arts Program was initiated in 1998 due to a lack of
fine arts funding. The
program was meant to further develop the fine arts at our school.
From the very beginning this has been a shared effort between
parents, school staff, and our amazing artists, the students.
Over
the last several years we have been fortunate to be able to showcase the
students’ art work in a gallery like setting with every student
displaying their masterpieces. Activities
like the Art Show, the Time To Shine Theatre, and interactive workshops with local artists,
have provided the children with a love and appreciation for art and
the parents with wonderful memories.
The
committee's projects have been made possible
by the hard work and dedication of the parent volunteers, teachers and
staff, wonderful artists who have given their time and talent, and the
Fine Arts Committee. Most
importantly, we have been fortunate to have financial support from the
Parent Teacher Association, Holland Road School, and from various
grants.
